Sunraysia Institute of TAFE(shortly for SuniTAFE)was founded in 1979. It is the largest college in Northwest Victoria that provides a combination of technical and practical course. The students there are from 15 various countries. It has a team of teachers who provide support service and it is occupied with advanced teaching facilities and equipment. There are four branches located in Mildila, Swan Mountain, Ouyun and Robbinville. More than 9,000 students are enrolled each year. Its characteristic specialties include Nursing, Children's education, Community Welfare, Graphic design, Multimedia and Interactive Digital, Environmental Science and Land Management, Irrigation, Horticulture, Accounting, Information Technology, Western Kitchen, Hotel Management, etc.

TAFE (Technical and Further Education) applies a pattern of general vocational education in Australia. It is run by the TAFE College set up by the Australian Government with education and training. TAFE Higher Diploma is awarded by the Australian Government, which is equivalent to the level of higher vocational education in China. TAFE is an important part of higher education in Australia. It is a huge management system jointly invested and managed by the federal government and state governments. There are 750,000 students in general institutions of higher education, and the TAFE system covers 1.27 million students, which is 1.7 times the number of the students in general education in Australia. The advantages of TAFE education include strong practicability, small class, high teaching quality, advanced education methods and so on.

Mildila is a very small Australian town with simple folkways, beautiful environment, community safety, and kind and friendly local people which provides multiple support and help to international students. It is a good place to study quietly, make Australian local friends and fast improve language ability. It is known as the "granary" of Victoria, it is also the largest export base for horticultural products in Australia. With Murray River flowing through, warm Mediterranean climate and abundant sunshine, Mildila, the inland tourist city, attracts tourists from all over the world.

Peking University Founder Technology College cooperates with SuniTAFE with a one to four months, once per year exchange program. Students can volunteer to play a part without any language requirements. Students in Founder College can choose to study corresponding courses based on their majors together with the local and international students at SuniTAFE.

In addition, SuniTAFE also provides four-hour English courses conducted by the foreign teachers per day for our students in order to help them improve their language skills as fast as possible. During the visit, the exchange students will be lead to some famous scenic spots of Australia and stay in the homestay family to know more about Australian culture. At the end of the program, certificates will be issued by to the exchange students by SuniTAFE.
