The network media design major (junior college) cultivates high-quality applied talents with good professional quality and ethics, independent learning ability and sustainable development ability, who can meet the needs of the network media design industry in this region. Students should master the Mao Zedong thought, Deng Xiaoping theory and "Three Represents" important thought. They should have certain ideological and moral level and cultural knowledge accomplishment, to master the professional network media design corresponding application knowledge, skills and methods, up to the network information editing, web design, website operation management and digital publications design layout and other jobs. On the whole, the requirements of this major are consistent with those of the corresponding major in the full-time vocational colleges and universities. At the same time, according to the requirements of the network media design industry and professional characteristics of being more prominent practicality, students should emphasis on comprehensive quality training and practical skills training on the basic theory, basic knowledge and basic skills. Those who have obtained the qualified scores of 15 courses stipulated in the examination plan of this major, and reached 70 credits in total, and whose ideology and moral character meet the requirements through appraisal, will be issued with the diploma of "network media design major" in self-study examination of higher education.
